Ashley Mudd discusses her experience, highlights from the program, and advice for future applicants.
“I participated in the Executive Program in Social Impact Strategy in 2021. Not only did the program help to develop my understanding of social impact, but I was also left with specific tools to deploy in my work. I also build life-long relationships with classmates that are doing innovative work across the globe. The program and the peers in my cohort challenged how I think and approach my work and helped me to shift my perspective from an outcomes-based approach to more systems-based thinking.
I am grateful for the network I was able to build with my CSIS cohort and alumni from previous cohorts. I especially enjoyed participating in jamouts to process what we were learning in class and gain a better understanding of everyone’s different perspectives. I have had the opportunity to maintain several relationships with my cohort peers as we’ve transitioned through our careers.
Since graduation, I have changed roles and joined the team at Reaching Out MBA as their first Program Director. It’s been an incredible transition that allows me to actively work towards increasing the inclusion and influence of the LGBTQ+ community in business.”
