Tina Cheung

Research Assistant

Tina Cheung (she/her) is a first-generation college graduate and Social Impact & Community Strategy Leader from the San Francisco Bay Area with experience spanning social impact, community engagement, organizational strategy, and cross-sector partnerships. Her work sits at the intersection of culture, belonging, technology, and community-centered innovation, with a focus on building meaningful programs, experiences, and collaborations that create lasting impact.

Tina has led large-scale employee engagement, volunteerism, and community initiatives across the technology, nonprofit, and education sectors, including roles at Visa, Twitter, and AnitaB.org. She has managed cross-functional programs, advised leadership teams and community groups, and developed initiatives focused on belonging, cultural engagement, leadership development, and social impact.

Beyond her professional work, Tina is deeply engaged in civic, educational, and community leadership. She currently serves on nonprofit and alumni boards including Wah Mei School and the University of San Francisco Asian Pacific Alumni Network and has led and mentored global leadership and cultural exchange programs through organizations such as The Dragon Foundation. Her work has included partnerships with nonprofits, cultural institutions, educational organizations, and community groups across the Bay Area and internationally.

Tina is currently a part-time graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Public Policy (SP2) where her areas of interest include nonprofit leadership, corporate social responsibility, philanthropy, employee engagement, and community-centered strategy. She is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, connected, and empowered through storytelling, volunteerism, cultural affirming programming, and community-centered leadership.
