Scholars who are selected for the summer doctoral fellowship with Dr. Peter Frumkin present their work to peers and workshop papers in hopes of eventually publishing. We’re pleased to see Dr. Peter Schubert publish not one but two articles from his fellowship in two of the leading nonprofit journals: NSVQ and Nonprofit Management & Leadership.

Dr. Peter Schubert, Professor of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Hamburg, recently published in the following nonprofit journals:

  • Schubert, P. & Boenigk, S. (2021). Pressure, cost accounting, and resource allocations: Experimental evidence on nonprofit financial decision-making. Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly. https://doi.org/10.1177%2F08997640211003218
  • Schubert, P. & Willems, J. (2020). In the name of the stakeholder: An assessment of representation surpluses and deficits by nonprofit leaders. Nonprofit Management and Leadership. https://doi.org/10.1002/nml.21445

Dr. Schubert worked on these articles during his summer 2019 doctoral fellowship with CSIS’ Faculty Director, Dr. Peter Frumkin, and co-authored the article in Nonprofit Management and Leadership with 2010 Doctoral Fellow alum, Dr. Jurgen Willems.

Congratulations to Dr. Schubert on this well-earned achievement!
