The University of Pennsylvania’s Nonprofit Leadership Program and Center for Social Impact Strategy invite doctoral student researchers to apply for the 2020 Penn Summer Doctoral Fellows Program.

About: Facilitated by Professor Peter Frumkin, the doctoral fellows program will explore emerging issues in the world of nonprofit organizations, voluntary action, philanthropy, social enterprise, and international civil society. These topics are explored through an intensive research seminar in which students present their draft papers and then work collaboratively to help improve and refine each other’s research. At the conclusion of the experience, doctoral fellows will have produced papers ready for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

The program will be held June 8-25, 2020 on the campus of The University of Pennsylvania. Students are required to submit a draft research paper that they would like to develop and prepare for publication during the program. Housing near the Penn campus and $3,000 stipends are provided to all Fellows.

Eligibility: Doctoral students currently enrolled in PhD programs in all fields.

Submission deadline: March 15, 2020

Submission requirements: Send your resume, a draft research paper (unpublished) on a topic related to any aspect of Social Impact, and an abstract to admissions@socialimpactstrategy.org

Application notifications sent: April 15th, 2020
