With the onset of COVID-19, so many joined CSIS in online teaching. These new voices provided enormous new insights and reminders of key lessons to keep front and center as our students learn in a virtual format. Rafe’s article is a touching articulation of the need for empathy, opportunity-creation, and inclusive teaching as our students learn online, and offers lots of actions and resources that students and instructors alike can use to cultivate a nourishing learning experience.
